On November 1, 2025, at approximately 18:30 local time, a resident of Sofia (referred to as Kostadin for privacy reasons) reported observing an unusual aerial light while exercising outdoors in a residential neighborhood.
After completing a set of exercises and pausing to drink water, the witness noticed a bright white light in the sky exhibiting rapid and abrupt changes in direction. The movement pattern immediately drew attention due to its speed and non-linear trajectory.
The witness began recording the object with a mobile phone. During the observation, the light briefly flashed and changed color from white to green. Shortly after, the green light appeared to pulse intermittently, described by the witness as resembling a “blinking” or “winking” motion.
Kostadin reported feeling emotionally affected by the observation but stated that visibility conditions were clear and that the object appeared to be at a high altitude, above typical civilian drone operating levels.
During a follow-up conversation, the witness also disclosed a prior experience at the same location approximately two years earlier. In that earlier incident, an orange luminous sphere reportedly appeared suddenly, moved rapidly toward the witness, and disappeared seconds before reaching him. No physical interaction or lasting effects were reported.
No sound, structural shape, or conventional aircraft indicators were observed during either event.

Description
Analysis & Possible Explanations
Several conventional explanations were considered:
• Civilian drone activity was evaluated but deemed unlikely due to the reported altitude, rapid directional changes, and absence of audible motor noise.
• Military or experimental aircraft cannot be confirmed or ruled out due to lack of publicly available flight data for the time and location.
• Astronomical objects (stars, planets) were excluded based on the observed movement and color changes.
• Atmospheric or optical phenomena were considered; however, the structured pulsing behavior and directional shifts do not strongly align with common atmospheric effects.
The prior orange light observation reported by the same witness introduces an additional subjective element but cannot be independently verified. While repeated observations at the same location may suggest environmental or perceptual factors, insufficient data exists to draw a definitive conclusion.
At this stage, the object remains unidentified due to limited corroborating evidence and absence of multi-angle recordings or radar data.
